Give back to the community hours (assumes attending just one training session per week over 3-month period) |
"Give back" 2 sessions per month? (At least 6 sessions given back to the community per 3 month training cycle) |
Minimum "Give back" hours: 24 per 3 month training cycle. |
May not take final exam until "Give back to the community hours" equal at least 24 hours. |
Self-study | Assignments & online self-study. The 4-hour sessions cover about 50-80% of the material on the final, the assignments & self-study courses cover the rest. | While the weekly training sessions generally cover 10 questions per week, the self-study goes deeper, covering those same 10 questions plus typically 10 to 15 more per week. | Self-study is around 1-5 hours per week. This includes active gaming assignments and online self-paced courses. So typically one can expect total hours of between training, assignments, giving back to the community, & self-study to be around 5-10 hours per week. |
Final Exam |
10 Questions from each week. |
120 questions randomly selected from database of 300+ questions |
Online. Can stop & start as needed. Take as
often as needed (but with some time delays between each retake). Must
score 90% or better to receive diploma. |
Player Level One Diploma |
Training hours: (4/week x 12 weeks=) 48, plus play on your own, learn on your own hours typically around 20 hours = 68. |
+ Give back hours (24) = 92 hours. + assignments & self-study (24) = 116 hours. |
+ test and other experiential hours, typically around 120 hours total active training for Level One Role-Playing Game Player Diploma. |
Game Master Level One Diploma (must have Player level one diploma completed first). |
GM Training hours: (4/week x 12 weeks = 48) + learn on your own hours typically around 20 hours = 68. |
+ Give back hours (24) = 92 hours minimum. + assignments & self-study (24) = 116 hours. |
+ player level one diploma (required before can
receive GM level one diploma, typically 120 hours active training) + GM
training (68) + give back hours (24) + self-study hours (24) + test
hours (4) = ~240 hours total active training for Level One Game Master Diploma. |
